How we assess
Every solution goes through the same factual grid, verified on the date shown on its page: supported protocols (UCP, ACP, MCP, AP2 — native, via extension, announced or absent), agentic capabilities covered (discovery, cart, checkout, customer account, post-purchase), solution type and target. No score, no ranking: sourced facts that each reader weighs for their own context. Since the sector moves every quarter, each page carries its verification date and a link to report changes.
Ecommerce platforms
MCP: Native (merchant MCP server)
A French platform dedicated to B2B, with a native MCP server exposing catalog, stock and per-account pricing terms — the key mechanic of business-to-business agentic commerce, which consumer surfaces don't cover.
View the assessment →UCP: Native (co-developer) · ACP: Native (merchants auto-enrolled) · MCP: Native (Storefront MCP, GA) · AP2: Partner
Co-developer of UCP with Google and a pioneer across the whole agentic stack: Storefront MCP reached general availability in early 2026 (automatic on Plus), and merchants are enrolled in ChatGPT's Instant Checkout at no platform surcharge.
View the assessment →UCP: Native (launch partner) · ACP: Via payment provider · MCP: Announced
A UCP launch partner in January 2026, BigCommerce follows the same logic as Shopify: agentic capabilities delivered by default at platform level, with no development on the merchant's side.
View the assessment →UCP: Announced (Feb 2026), rolling out · ACP: Announced (Feb 2026), rolling out · MCP: Native (Commerce MCP Server) · AP2: Commitment announced
Adobe announced UCP and ACP support in February 2026, after an earlier AP2 commitment, then unveiled at its April Summit a Commerce MCP Server exposing catalog, cart, pricing, inventory, promotions, checkout and after-sales through a standardised interface.
View the assessment →UCP: Native (launch partner) · MCP: Preview (Commerce MCP, Feb 2026)
The archetype of composable: Commerce MCP has been in preview since February 2026, with an ecosystem where partners add their own MCP tools. Also a UCP launch partner, with a strong stance on B2B and large catalogs.
View the assessment →UCP: Via integration · ACP: Via integration · MCP: Via Agentforce
Salesforce approaches agentic commerce through its own agent layer, Agentforce Commerce, integrated with its CRM — a more proprietary strategy than the open standards, though integrations toward market protocols exist.
View the assessment →UCP: Via extension · ACP: Via extension · MCP: Via extension
No native agentic support in WooCommerce core to date, but the extension ecosystem is already closing the gap: guides and modules let you expose an MCP server or a UCP profile on top of an existing store.
View the assessment →MCP: Via module
No native protocol support announced to date. Preparation runs through fundamentals — schema.org structured data, an impeccable Merchant Center feed — and third-party modules to expose an agent endpoint.
View the assessment →Payments
UCP: Launch partner · ACP: Co-author of the standard · MCP: Supported by the ACP spec
Co-author of ACP with OpenAI, Stripe invented the single-use shared payment token securing ChatGPT's Instant Checkout, and since late 2025 offers a dedicated suite reducing agentic integration to configuration.
View the assessment →UCP: Launch partner · ACP: Compatible
A UCP launch partner, Adyen carries the standard's payment layer for large international merchants, with its usual strength: unified processing online and in store.
View the assessment →ACP: Supported · MCP: Via Agent Toolkit · AP2: Partner
PayPal took the agentic turn through dedicated services: ACP support to accept payments inside assistants, an agent toolkit, and membership of the AP2 coalition on mandates.
View the assessment →UCP: Launch partner · AP2: Founding partner
With Agent Pay, Mastercard is building the card-rails version of agentic payment: registered agent credentials, verifiable mandates, auditability — and it sits in both structuring coalitions (UCP and AP2).
View the assessment →UCP: Launch partner · AP2: Founding partner
Visa's Intelligent Commerce programme pursues the same goal as its competitor: making agent-initiated transactions as safe and arbitrable as human ones, building on AP2 and the UCP coalition.
View the assessment →Buying surfaces
ACP: Native (reference surface) · MCP: Supported by the spec
The surface that launched consumer agentic commerce: buying without leaving the conversation, first with Etsy sellers then Shopify merchants and direct brands. Roughly 4% commission on completed transactions.
View the assessment →UCP: Native (reference surface) · MCP: Compatible (UCP transport) · AP2: Natively articulated
UCP's natural outlet: Google Search's AI Mode and the Gemini apps allow end-to-end purchase from compatible merchants, activated through Merchant Center and expanding beyond the United States (Canada, Australia, the UK in spring 2026).
View the assessment →UCP: Supported (checkout) · MCP: Microsoft ecosystem
Proof that UCP isn't captive to Google: Copilot's checkout builds on the same open standard, giving UCP-compatible merchants a second surface with no extra integration.

Does your solution include an agentic building block and isn't listed here? The directory lists, free of charge, any solution verifiable against the grid above.
