Agentic checkout — The completion of a purchase executed by an agent: cart building, payment application and confirmation, without the user visiting the merchant's site.
In practice
In practice: the user says “buy it”, the agent opens a checkout session with the merchant and passes a single-use payment token. ChatGPT's Instant Checkout (ACP protocol) is the most widely deployed example.
